Scotty Leamon is the Public Safety Information Officer for the Coconut Creek Police Department and Coconut Creek Fire Rescue. He came to the City of Coconut Creek in 2018 after spending four years as the Public Information Officer for the Roanoke Police Department in southwest Virginia. He has developed extensive experience as a public communicator and journalist. He was an award-winning television reporter at several TV stations in the southeast, including such as in Bowling Green, KY, Myrtle Beach, SC, and Roanoke, VA. He has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for nearly 20 years. They have two sons; Jackson, age 15, and Tucker, age 11. The Leamon family currently resides in northern Broward County.
