Deputy Sean Flynn was hired with the Broward Sheriff’s Office on March 1, 2021. Deputy Flynn attended Broward College’s Institute of Public Safety police academy. Upon graduating the police academy, he was assigned to the city of North Lauderdale as a road patrol Deputy Sheriff. During his time assigned to road patrol Deputy Flynn became a homeless outreach deputy and joined the LGBTQ+ Committee at the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Flynn now serves as the Vice Chair of the BSO LGBTQ+ Committee. In June of 2023, Deputy Flynn was assigned to the “Neighborhood Support Team” for the North Lauderdale district. Deputy Flynn now specializes in crime prevention and focuses on community policing in the city of North Lauderdale.

Deputy Flynn is originally from Frankfort, Illinois and started as a police explorer program at the Will County Sheriff’s Office at the age of 14. When Sean turned 18 years old, he was hired with the Frankfort Police Department as a civilian employee while attending Joliet Junior College where he obtained his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Sean then moved to Broward County and started his career with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

In April 2022, Sean was voted in as Co-Director of the Broward Multi-Agency Pride Coalition.
